Mr. Pauer Hits Back

By: Manero

Toto González, the Venezuelan-born, Miami-based musician and producer better known as Mr. Pauer, may be the best recipe to prolong summer way past its official end.

Because on September 18, he'll release Orange, the follow-up to his celebrated and Latin Grammy-nominated 2011 album Soundtrack—the record that put his signature Electrópico sound on our dancing feet and taste-making lips.

And judging by the first single —an irresistible track that blends cumbia and dancehall through airy beats and the vocals of Mexico-via-Miami vocalist Dama Vicke— Orange should be another winner for Mr. Pauer.

Thirteen other vocalists besides Vicke took part in the recording of Orange, a roster that boasts to have joined four continents and an as many languages (Spanish, English, Portuguese and Creole).

We can't wait to hear the finished product a month from now.

Until then, here's "Pasión."
