The Afro-Lat Tee

Tony M. Peralta has done it again.

The amazing NY-Dominican designer has launched his own tribute to Afrolatin@s everywhere with a simple-yet--powerful new t-shirt from his Peralta Project collection.

Just in time for the celebration of the equally impressive Afro-Latino Festival of New York, Peralta's tees --designed in gray with black font for women, and black with white letters for men-- deliver a simple statement of identity and pride: the word Afrolatino/a, with a hair pick serving as the "I".

It's a statement that also connects with Peralta's other work, namely the Pelo Malo/Bueno series, which comments on the self-imposed stereotypes of some Afro-Latinos about their hair.

But the tee delivers the message in a more subtle way -- like an affirmation that looks to the future; all attitude, no hostages taken.

Get them while they last.
